Friday, the last day and the first tears for goodbye

Friday dawned cool. All the teams were having breakfast, reminiscing about the great moments of the previous night, the closing ceremony, and the farewell dinner in the school cafeteria with live music, karaoke, and dancing. The night was long for the young ones. But we were all "flying" with the good memories accumulated throughout the week.

The day began at the university, where we participated in a workshop to make us reflect on the importance of not believing everything that appears on the screens of the devices we use to inform ourselves or relate to others on social networks. To do this, we used stereograms to perceive different shapes that are not present but, due to the distance from the eyes to the pictures, manifest individually to each one. Later, the group of teachers carried out a multicultural activity. A visit to a multicultural school, Varadi Jozsef. In this school, a Hungarian curriculum and a Romanian one are taught in parallel. Colleagues Gavrila Luminita (Mathematics) and Lazar Eniko (English) accompanied us through the school in the town of Sfanty Gheorghe.

The day concluded in the auditorium of another school near the Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania. There we were greeted by a group of students dressed in the typical Romanian, Hungarian, Covasna county, and German attire. They offered us Kürtőskalács cake, typical of Transylvania. A dessert traditionally made for weddings. In the auditorium, on stage, various local dances were performed. Romanian dances were joined by the students, who danced around the seats.

After the meal, farewells among the students, laughter, hugs, and some tears. The week had been intense. The students and their families had been immensely generous. The hosted students and their teachers are immensely grateful for so much hospitality. Thank you, Romania.
